That was the Ried Agricultural Fair
Pöttinger highlights at the largest agricultural display in Austria
The international agricultural fair in Ried, Upper Austria, was again visited by thousands of people from Austria and abroad. The weather gods weren't smiling on the Innviertel county in Upper Austria this year, although it was celebrating its 140th annual fair. However, 350,000 people (according to the trade fair organisers) still came along to make it an extremely successful event. Pöttinger had numerous highlights on display and visitors flocked to our stand.

We welcomed a huge number of people to the Pöttinger stand on the opening day in particular (Sept. 5th 2007). Austrian President, Heinz Fischer, also called in to see the latest Pöttinger machinery. He was accompanied by Josef Pühringer, the Governor of the province of Upper Austria, the minister of agriculture, Josef Pröll, and local councillor, Josef Stokinger. The President of the Chamber of Agriculture, Hannes Herndl, was also there, along with numerous other local politicians.
