Taking the bull by the horns in Gloggnitz
The
The "Ramswirt" Gasthof in Gloggnitz, Styria (Austria) is a family business with its own farm. A Pöttinger Novacat 356 Alpha-motion and a Rollprofi 3200 LSC were bought for the farming operations back in spring 2007. The fleet of machines operated by the dynamic farmer and Gasthof manager expanded as a result. But it's not only Pöttinger machinery that can be found in the Ramswirt farm buildings – they were also home to the heaviest Simmental Fleckvieh bull in the world!
The Ramswirt Gasthof has been owned and run by the Pichlers for 100 years and the family makes every effort to cater for all the wishes of their guests. Besides the Gasthof, the family also runs a farm where state-of-the-art technology and welfare-oriented stock keeping are the guarantee for top quality. The Pichler family is highly enthusiastic about the Alpha-motion technology. "Optimum performance on slopes and excellent ground hugging are the outstanding advantages of the mower. Despite conditions not being at all easy where we are, we can still rely completely on the machines," says Mr Pichler, absolutely convinced.
For many years the farm's special attraction was the world's heaviest Simmental Fleckvieh bull, weighing in at 1,650 kg and noted for the Guinness Book of Records in 2003. The Ramswirt is well worth a visit – and the same can be said for their website: www.ramswirt.at
