Successful specialist field demonstrations in Ukraine

Informative presentation and exchange of experience

Despite a general air of caution triggered by the economic crisis and the low milk price, efforts are also being made in Ukraine to increase dairy cattle performance and reduce production costs. This prompted Pöttinger Ukraine to stage field days in the west and the middle of Ukraine at the beginning of June: an informative presentation of forage harvesting, exchanging experiences with Pöttinger employees who pointed out a huge potential in forage, plus a convincing machine demonstration.

Some 100 people representing 47 leading farming operations attended the event and were extremely impressed and enthusiastic. The Pöttinger Ukraine team, together with their Austrian colleagues Horst Hartl and Maximilian Scheibmayr, put the principles of "talk to each other, listen to each other, respond to each other" into practice in a very successful way. The weather also played along – as always: despite forecasts of rain, the weather for the demonstrations couldn't have been better. The result can be summed up as follows: greater knowledge and optimism among farmers and recognition of Pöttinger as a professional partner in the forage sector.
