Pöttinger wins 'Best Innovator 2009' award
Victory in the 'Innovative Processes' category
On March 16, 2010 the Austrian Federal Minister, Reinhold Mitterlehner, presented the Best Innovator 2009 award at Haus der Industrie in Vienna / Austria. The initiator of the award is the well-known consulting firm A.T. Kearney. Pöttinger won the title in the "Innovative Processes" category.
The "Best Innovator Award" offers the participating companies an ideal opportunity to measure their capabilities internationally regarding innovation potential. Around 1,000 companies from 14 countries entered the competition hosted by A.T. Kearney.
The evaluation was made based on quality and selected performance data as well as a visit by the jury to the company to assess innovation capability where it all happens.
Pöttinger had already won "Best Innovator" in 2004, putting the company amidst the elite players in innovation. For A.T. Kearney, awarding the title a second time is proof that the agricultural machinery manufacturer has actually harnessed the innovation potential. As a result, the company has managed to secure a place among the innovation leaders in Austria – alongside high profile participants such as Siemens, Rosenbauer and Verbund power.
"With its innovation management, Pöttinger is in an excellent position to achieve its ambitious target of becoming the technology leader", confirms Managing Director, Klaus Pöttinger, underlining the significance of innovation within the company.
