Roller conditioner with cross conveyor belt
for trailed disc mowers
Mowers with a swath merging system have a long history in some regions of Europe. In recent years there has been an increasing trend in sustainable energy production which, in turn, has prompted an increase in a wide range of whole plant silages. These silages need to be harvested as loss-free as possible. Whole plant silage crops are one harvesting application where mowers with merging systems are particular suitable.
With the new roller conditioners, Pöttinger offers an innovation on the market. The combination of roller conditioners and a swath merging system is unique on the market and delivers a number of advantages.
Great attention has been paid to the durability of the rollers when the new conditioners were at the development stage. The profile of the rollers is vulcanised to a stable tube so that the rubber is bonded with the surface of the tube. High stability, low abrasion, a long service life and less vulnerability to foreign objects are just some of the many advantages. The pressure on the upper roller can easily be adjusted using a spring setting to ensure ideal conditioning in all operating conditions.
An additional accelerator roller is located behind the two conditioning rollers to accelerate the crop and guarantee that the entire crop flow is fed onto the cross-conveyor belt without any losses. Thanks to this accelerator roller practically any type of grass or cereal can be mowed without loss and directed onto the conveyor belt. Regardless of whether the crop is long or short, damp or dry, you will be on the safe side using Pöttinger Novacat disc mowers with roller conditioners.
Pöttinger offers roller conditioners with cross conveyor belts for trailed mowers NOVACAT 307 T RC and NOVACAT 3507 T RC. Likewise, the NOVACAT X8 RC mower combination can also be equipped with cross conveyor belts. All NOVACAT alpha-motion front disc mowers are available with roller conditioners.
