JUMBO: even more safety onboard
With EBS and RSP brake systems on Pöttinger loader wagons
Pöttinger offers even more safety onboard its high-performance JUMBO series loader wagons thanks to a new braking system designed for agricultural applications. Adopted from the truck industry, this proven system (Knorr brakes) provides more stability for loads with a high centre of gravity in combination with higher driving speed.
Electronic Braking System (EBS) with Roll Stability Program (RSP)
Increasing transport capacities and high transport speeds require the use of modern brake components, which in addition to considerably increasing safety at the same time help to reduce operating costs due to worn brake pads and tyres.
The Roll Stability Program (RSP) delivers more stability and reduces tilt angles during steering and avoidance manoeuvres on tight corners and at high speeds:
The RSP function brakes specific wheels on the trailer automatically if there is a risk of rolling to attain the most stabile driving position.

Special features of this technology
- The complete control unit plus sensors are integrated into a compact unit that converts the load signals from the hydro-pneumatic suspension into an electronic signal.
- Large voltage range from 8 to 32 V can be used on all vehicles.
- Additional safety thanks to brake light power supply from the ABS connector if power is interrupted so that the electronic load detection and the ABS system remain functional (not the RSP system, however).
- Spring-loaded brake with parking and handling valve is included as standard on chassis with EBS and RSP braking systems.
Wagons with the EBS braking module can be drawn by vehicles with ABS or EBS and vehicles with conventional braking systems. However, the system needs to be connected to an ISO7638 (ABS) socket on the vehicle for permanent power supply and operation of the warning system on the TEBS G2.1.
