The NOVACAT V 8400 and V 9200 models feature an extremely compact design. Angled booms allow for an extremely short headstock. This creates a lighter-weight configuration with the centre of gravity closer to the tractor. Depending on the terrain, both the mower combinations can easily be operated with four-cylinder tractors.
Thanks to the two mounting positions of the mower units, the working width can be adjusted to 8.12 m or 8.36 m metres on the NOVACAT V 8400 and to 8.95 m or 9.20 m metres on the NOVACAT V 9200. The clear width between the two mower units is either 2,03 m or 2,28 m.
Hydraulic weight alleviation provides uniform ground pressure over the whole cutter bar width. Using the double-acting remote, the pressure applied by the cutter bar can be infinitely adjusted depending on the state of the ground and if conditioners or swath formers are fitted. Simply read the pressure gauge to see the ground pressure.
The centre pivot mounting on the mower units provides a travel of +20 ° / -16 °° for perfect ground tracking.
In the headland position, the two mower units are each stabilised by a small cylinder. This prevents them from swaying when raised.
The mower units can be raised either together or separately. They can be raised separately either by a shared spool valve with electric pre-selection, or optionally by two separate spool valves.
