Harvest more efficiently with the JUMBO
Belgian contractor relies on quality from Grieskirchen / Austria
The Belgian contractor, Calmin Lapraille, has been relying on Austrian quality since 2009 and now has three loader wagons in operation, as well as a NOVACAT S12 mower combination.
Lapraille places great importance on the efficient operation of his machinery. He leaves nothing to chance and invoices per hectare.
Cost-effective forage production
He and his two employees have customers ranging from smallholdings with 5 hectares through to major farming operations with 300 to 400 hectares. One of the greatest advantages in working together with a contractor is cost-effective forage production.
Increase in turnover with the new loader wagon systems
For Lapraille, the harvest season has changed beyond all recognition since investing in the loader wagon system. In some regions of Belgium the soil is stony and the grass is harvested later, meaning that it is also harder, which is no problem for the JUMBO. The contractor now harvests a larger area with his fleet of loader wagons than he ever managed with self-propelled harvesters. "The loader wagons are the most efficient machines in my business", says Lapraille.
Quality chopping with AUTOCUT automatic knife sharpening system
The newest loader wagon in the fleet is fitted with the AUTOCUT automatic knife sharpening system, which produces excellent chopping quality. Using this system, the knives are sharpened every 5 to 10 loads. The procedure takes around four minutes, during which the driver can check all the functions. A comprehensive sharpening process is performed at the end of each working day.
The NOVACAT S12 mower combination delivers efficient work over an impressive working width of 11.10 metres. "We deploy the mower combination with a GPS system, which allows us to take full advantage of the machine's capacity and avoid double passes", explains Calmin Lapraille.
