PÖTTINGER Australia continues its successful course and opens a new site in Truganina
New Warehouse open its doors
PÖTTINGER first set foot in Australia in the late 1990s when the hay and tillage equipment was imported and sold by an independent agent. Soon the great potential of the market down-under was discovered, and the subsidiary, PÖTTINGER Australia was established in September 2008. The subsidiary opened the doors to its first warehouse in one of Melbourne's northern suburbs in April 2009. PÖTTINGER Australia has since then become a brand recognized for its high product quality and outstanding customer service.
Since its establishment in 2008, PÖTTINGER Australia has sold thousands of machines to customers all across Australia. The business has grown significantly in recent years and has outgrown the first warehouse. In March 2017 the company relocated to its brand-new warehouse in Truganina. The new place of business hosts 1,400 m² of roofed warehousing space, and modern office facilities. The proximity to major traffic routes and the Port of Melbourne are an advantage of the new site. The new business location in down-under was officially opened on the 11th August 2017, where visitors could get first-hand information on the newest machines coming to Australia, and get to know their PÖTTINGER team. The ceremonial cutting of the ribbon took place in front of dealerships from all across Australia, journalists from all major farming publications, as well as farmers and contractors from Victoria. A casual lunch was followed by a hilarious and thoughtful speech by comedian Andrew Straton. At the event, PÖTTINGER also honoured its dealers of the year, Cadmac Machinery (Wodonga, VIC), Gaffney Machinery (Somerset, TAS), Greg Allan Farm Machinery (Colac, VIC), R.E.N. Machinery (Warragul, VIC), and Donalda Motors (Maffra, VIC).
Customer proximity is a key success factor for PÖTTINGER, and the new warehouse facility is the basis for even better customer service. "We have doubled the warehouse size and added 30 % additional spare parts storage with ample room for future expansion, so that we can drastically improve the in-season availability of machines and parts. With our new warehouse, we are certain that we will be able to serve our customers even better in the future" says General Manager, Eva-Maria Heikenwälder.
