With the South West of England bearing the brunt of this year’s excessive rainfall in the UK you could forgive the farmers and contractors for being more than a little pessimistic about the season just past. However the positive attitude about meeting the challenges of the coming year was evident amongst those attending and interest was particularly high in grassland machinery from Pottinger. A combined attendance over the two nights of nearly 1,000 people saw both events well supported by the local communities and at the Pottinger stand we were kept busy talking to many interested visitors about the benefits of using a Pottinger Loader Wagon.

On display were silage samples from local farmers Richard Sampson who operates a Pottinger FARO 3500 L model and he kindly provided us with his silage analysis details to display. The impressive feed quality of this 34% DM silage was evident with a D value of 11.5 and an ME of 71.8 underlined the possibility of achieving excellent quality silage with a Pottinger loader wagon.
