On Friday 9 April 2010 Pöttinger presented its seed drill technology and tillage equipment during a field demonstration. Around 130 farmers, land owners and ag-professionals from the surrounding area gathered in Zuchau, near the Pöttinger seed drill factory in Bernburg / Germany. Starting at 9am on a clear day on land owned by Linse-Wall, the powerful range of selected equipment for tillage, stubble cultivation and sowing was presented in action. Following a short introduction of the machines by Hubert Jungreithmayr, Head of Sales Promotion at Pöttinger, the following machines were put to work:
- Semi-mounted SERVO 6.50 plough
- Compact TERRADISC 6000 disc harrow
- SYNKRO 5003 T stubble cultivator with shallow-working shares
- SYNKRO 5003 T stubble cultivator with chisels for working to 30 cm
- TERRASEM C6 and C8 mulch seed drills
The visitors were extremely impressed with the performance of the machines and the perfect work delivered by the whole team. After the field demonstration there was then a tour of the Pöttinger plant in Bernberg, which also proved popular. "That was a very good event", enthused many of the visitors on their departure.
A competition was held during the field day. The lucky winner of a Pöttinger adventure voucher (a weekend in Austria, including visit to the Pöttinger plant) is Mr. Heiko Puppe from the Böhne eG Agricultural Association, Rathenower Straße 13, D-14712 Rathenow OT Böhne. Congratulations! We look forward to seeing you in Austria!
