Phoenix out of the ashes: Pöttinger MEX
Maize harvester with unique flywheel system
1968 has gone down as a turning point in European history. On the one hand because of the student riots and demonstrations for citizens' rights, not forgetting Prague spring. Perhaps also because that was the year the legendary Pöttinger MEX flywheel harvest was introduced! Now Pöttinger has re-launched it - like a phoenix out of the ashes.
First-class cutting quality and ease of servicing are the trademarks of the new maize harvesters with the unique flywheel. The range includes the MEX 5 for rear and front mounting and MEX 6, the trailed high-performance harvester offering ideal technology for farms processing up to 300 hectares of silo maize.

Consistent chop length
The combination of feed rollers, exact chopped length with the flywheel and corn cracker delivers a chopping quality highly rated by specialists: grass is chopped short and all grains are pulverised for effective rumination.
The proven flywheel system

The flywheel with 10 knives is centrally-adjustable so the ideal chopping length is quickly set. The flywheel delivers enormous blowing power to propel the crop through the high chute. Because the flywheel unit is so compact, you have a clear view of the header and feed system. The centre of gravity is close to the tractor and guarantees excellent manoeuvrability. The MEX is a high-performance harvester offering unrivalled stability, long service life and reliable technology designed for coverage of large areas. |
