International awards keep coming in
Pöttinger wins award in Spain
The FIMA 2010 in Zaragoza/Spain was again highly successful for Pöttinger. At the 36th international agricultural fair between 9 and 13 February, almost 200,000 people came to visit the 133,000 square metre arena. Pöttinger was represented by its Spanish importer DURAN Maquinaria Agricola SL. The latest agricultural technology from Austria was presented on a display area of 500 square metres. A large number of visitors came to see the Pöttinger stand despite the difficult economic situation in Spain at the moment. The highlights on display attracted a great deal of interest, such as the award-winning full automatic "autocut" knife sharpening unit for loader wagons and the new TOP 972 C s-line twin-rotor windrower. Pöttinger also received an additional award for a special technical innovation at the Spanish agricultural fair: The intelligent loader wagon combination received an award in the "technical innovation competition". This combined solution of an intelligent Pöttinger loader wagon and John Deere tractor enables automatic regulation of driving speed during operation depending on the density of the swath to achieve optimum performance.
Pöttinger already won the DLG Silver medal at Agritechnica in Hanover in November 2009 for this system.
