The new HIT 6.80 T: professional tedding technology for smaller farms
PÖTTINGER has integrated the latest technical developments from its latest tedder models into the trailed 6-rotor HIT 6.80 T with a working width of 7.45 m
As a result, professional tedding technology is now available for smaller farms too. Thanks to its low power requirement, the new tedder can also be used with smaller tractors.
The new trailed HIT 6.80 T can be hitched either to a linkage bar or to a clevis drawbar and is equipped with large tyres ensure for smooth transport on the road. The new HIT 6.80 T also features Hydrolift technology to provide high ground clearance at headlands. When folded for transport the tedder has a transport height of 4 m.
Unique DYNATECH rotor unit
PÖTTINGER has now implemented the innovative rotor units and frames used on its newest tedder models on the smaller HIT models too, to guarantee clean and tidy operation: tidy grass pick-up, clean forage, tidy spread pattern and a clean machine. These are the key advantages of the DYNATECH rotor unit. On the HIT 6.80 T, PÖTTINGER also offers hydraulic fenceline tedding as an option.
The rotor diameter of 1.67 m on the HIT 6.80 T with six swept tine arms ensure optimum tedding quality and perfect ground tracking. The swept-back shape of the arms ensures that the crop cannot snag and there is no wrapping around the rotor. The unique rotor geometry has several additional advantages: Forage is picked up more easily and is subjected to less of a beating between the tine arms, meaning lower losses due to disintegration. This careful uptake is achieved by the sweeping arms that 'pull' the tines. The tines are under less stress, so service life is increased as a result. The proven, closed tine saver system is also integrated into these models. The tine carrier arms are precisely positioned on the rotor dish and are bolted directly to the hub. This ensures even higher strength with no increase in weight. The spreading angle can be adjusted on each rotor in five different positions without the need for tools, resulting in the best match to forage yield and conditions. Large robust gears and bearings on the DYNATECH rotors ensure very smooth operation.
