2017 marked the return of the triennial Grassland & Muck event to Stoneleigh, Warwickshire. The event takes place on 90 Ha’s of farmland adjacent to the Royal Showground in the heart of England. The site is prepared the previous September with newly sown leys being established especially for the event and thanks to some careful management we were this year presented with a very lush and heavy crop of grass across the demonstration plots.

The event this year marked the launch of two key new products for the UK, the NOVACAT A10 mower combination and the arrival of the long awaited IMPRESS range of round balers. Greeted by record temperatures of near 30c we had perfect conditions to wilt the grass and create as near to real conditions as possible.

Large crowds joined us on the working plot for the working demonstration and thanks to our professional and competent demo team the machines were shown off to their full potential. There was huge interest in the new IMPRESS baler models and many positive comments as to the excellent bale quality produced in the lush grass. 

A very topical subject presently in the UK is zero grazing and there was a lot of interest in the NOVACAT 301 CLASSIC & EUROPROFI 5010 D combination. Cutting and picking up a full 3 mtr width of grass in one pass, we were then also able to demonstrate the feed out capabilities of this machine fitted with the optional cross conveyor system.
