New: EUROCAT 272 and 312 drum-type mowers
Profit from a perfect cut
PÖTTINGER builds on proven drum mower technology and expands its product range in this segment with the EUROCAT 272 and 312. The EUROCAT 272 ED is also available with a tine-type conditioner. Drum-type mowers are known for their clog-free, tidy cut. PÖTTINGER mower drum technology specialises in smooth crop flow and excellent clearance.
The new EUROCAT 272 and 312drum mowers have working widths of 2.70 and 3.05 m. A key feature on these new models is the unique hydraulic lower linkage arm that enables easy mounting without having to adjust the tractor hitch struts.
During transport, the mower is folded hydraulically upwards to the side by 115 degrees: with the highest point of the mower on the tractor centreline, the centre of gravity perfectly centred. This ensures compact and safe transport of the mower.
All three models include hydraulic weight alleviation. Lifting and weight alleviation are operated using completely separate systems. A clearly-visible pressure gauge is fitted to the mower frame and the ground pressure can be adjusted progressively if needed using a double-acting remote valve.
Ease of maintenance is extremely important at Pöttinger: the jointed shafts have an extended service interval (150 h) and the safety guards fold well clear to provide optimum access to the cutter bar for quick and easy knife changes.
The new EUROCAT 272 and 312 mowers also offer the right swath formation for all operating conditions. There are four swath formation configurations available: wide spread without swath discs, swath disc on the outside (optional), swath discs on both sides, and additional swath discs.
The EUROCAT 272 ED is fitted with the proven steel tine-type conditioner. The conditioning intensity can be ideally regulated to the forage volume by adjusting the conditioning flap. The conditioner can also be removed and replaced by a guard and swath discs.
