Two years ago, PÖTTINGER further expanded its extensive product range with the IMPRESS baler/wrapper combination. The specialist in grassland shows it means business with a complete range of professional products. The new IMPRESS 185 VC PRO is a variable round baler - especially for contractors and large farms. The high flexibility of the bale size between 0.90 and 1.85 m makes the IMPRESS the ideal choice for constantly changing application requirements.
Pick-up with maximum capacity
The 2.3 m wide pick-up offers many advantages: wide swaths are picked up quickly and cleanly. Driving into the swath and cornering are also much easier and take the pressure off the driver. The central suspension point and two jointed support arms ensure the pick-up has complete freedom of movement with a unique vertical travel of 120 mm at the tines.
LIFTUP for unique crop flow
Optimum crop flow into the machine is a prerequisite for the best forage quality. The proven LIFTUP overhead rotor enables this natural crop flow. Thanks to the patented spiral configuration of the rotor tines, the forage enters the bale chamber across the whole width and tangentially (at an ideal angle). The result is a high intake capacity that translates into high baling performance with very low disintegration losses. The innovative rotor ensures that the bale chamber is fed evenly across the whole width and also greatly reduces weaving. The result is perfectly formed bales that keep their shape.
Unique chopping quality up to the edge of the bale
PÖTTINGER, the world market leader in loader wagons, is first to deliver loader wagon chopping quality for round balers as well: all IMPRESS PRO models achieve a theoretical chopped length of 36 mm over the entire width of the rotor. The new, pull-out FLEXCUT 32 short chop system features 32 TWINBLADE reversible knives with NONSTOP individual knife protection. This protects the knives from damage or breakage and ensures a high chopping quality over a longer period of time.
The EASY MOVE pull-out knife bank, which has proven popular for many years on loader wagons, has also been implemented successfully on IMPRESS round balers. The knives can be easily, conveniently and safely maintained in an upright working position.
With four starter rollers (two at the top and two at the bottom), the bales can also be started reliably with the full number of knives (32 knives).
Wrapper with a high output - low centre of gravity
With the new IMPRESS 185 VC PRO, the high-performance wrapper system also comes into a class of its own. This has been specifically devised to match the high technical output of the baler. The wrapper arms extend upwards from underneath, which shifts the centre of gravity of the machine downwards and ensures trouble-free continuous loading of large bales. The double-wrapping arm operates at up to 36 rpm. The bale depositing height has been lowered as close as possible to the ground in order to significantly reduce the risk of damage to the film. The emergency switch¬off system for the wrapper complies with the latest safety regulations and provides effective protection in the wrapper area. Replacing the film is fast and easy thanks to the hydraulically folding-down film magazine (6 x 2 rolls in the protected area behind the cladding). The machine also features a film tear monitor.
The optional bale turner is perfectly integrated into the wrapping platform and therefore takes up very little space. It can easily be operated from the tractor seat.
