PÖTTINGER at "Clash of the Titans" event in Ukraine

The traditional "Clash of the Titans" event in the Ukraine took place on 22 and 23 September. Around 1,500 visitors watched more than 100 machines in action. The conditions during the demonstrations were really extreme: soya stubble, hard, dry and compacted soil. The PÖTTINGER tillage machines all did a perfect job. In the display area, visitors had an opportunity to inspect PÖTTINGER grassland technology at close hand.

The following machines were demonstrated:

1) The TERRADISC compact disc harrow combined with the TEGOSEM catch crop drill and TANDEM CONOROLL rear rollers – spectators were talking about this being a master class in stubble cultivation. The result: harvest trash was well mixed in, thorough tillage covering the whole worked area, excellent quality tilth and levelling.

2) The SERVO 6.50 plough with slatted mould boards delivered perfect working results despite the extremely compact soil conditions in the field.
This field belongs to a farmer who has been a PÖTTINGER customer for many years and who uses a SERVO 6.50 (7+1). The customer explained: "The weather conditions were extreme this year and caused heavy soil compaction in every field. The other manufacturers' ploughs were not able to do a convincing job, unlike the SERVO: the PÖTTINGER plough delivered the best results, even in these really tough conditions!"

3) The TERRASEM C8 FERTILIZER seed drill with a working width of 8 metres and direct fertilisation did a perfect job with the soya stubble with very good wheat drilling results in the trials field.
