PÖTTINGER conquers northern Europe

The Austrian agricultural technology manufacturer produces innovative products and continues to follow a course of internationalisation. Pöttinger now has northern Europe in its sights and at the beginning of April established a sales subsidiary - Pöttinger Scandinavia ApS - with its headquarters in Copenhagen. The current cooperation with general importer Trejon AB will cease as of the 1st August 2016.

By founding Pöttinger Scandinavia ApS, the Austrian family-owned company wants to provide the best possible support to its dealers and customers. It will utilise its own in house sales and service team to make full use of their potential. The new sales subsidiary will operate in Sweden and Denmark. Denmark has been an important market for many years. Since autumn 2015 Lars Andreasen, a Pöttinger employee with extensive experience in Customer Services, has been responsible for sales.

In Sweden, Pöttinger has employed Nils Ahlstrand as a new representative, who is responsible for sales support. From 1^st August he will take over the responsibility of sales in Sweden. Nils Ahlstrand is a competent agricultural machinery engineer with international experience. The new sales manager is himself a farmer; therefore he understands the needs of potential and existing customers very well.

Since 2003, Pöttinger grassland machinery, loader wagons, tillage and seed drill technology has been sold in Sweden by the general importer Trejon AB based in Vännäsby. The many years of cooperation with Trejon has laid the cornerstone for success in northern Europe, which is a very interesting agricultural technology market. Trejon AB will continue to provide their expertise in ensuring supplies of spare parts up until the end of July 2017.

"With the new structure for sales and customer support, we want to focus more closely on tillage and seed drills. We also see a great deal of potential in our new IMPRESS round baler", says Christoph Schürz, Area Sales Manager North Europe. The new sales organisation will also continue to expand the dealership network in order to ensure even better customer care.
