VITASEM seed drills - presentation & innovations
Mechanical. Practical. Great.
Mechanical, practical and great, that best describes our latest generation of VITASEM mechanical seed drills. To enable farmers to benefit from the best seed germination, the VITASEM seed drills offer a wide range of equipment options that make these machines perfectly adapted to different requirements.
Our machines are ready to get to work on any size of farm and in all site-specific conditions. This is reflected in the possible working widths of 2.5 to 4.0 metres and also in the various seedbed preparation machines they can be combined with. The proven, versatile coulter systems ensure a neat seed slot for perfect seed placement in almost all operating conditions. The precise multi-metering system is driven mechanically (electric drive is available as an option) and ensures uniform distribution of a wide variety of seed material.
The biggest changes compared to the previous series are in the hopper volume and ease of use. The hoppers on the new generation models are up to 25 % larger. The improved calibration process sets a new standard in operating convenience. We are guaranteed to get the perfect distribution across the full working width because the catchment trays can be viewed from the side to detect any calibration errors immediately.
Easy filling thanks to wide tank opening
In addition, the flexible TEGOSEM hopper is available as an option to distribute a second component, which is applied reliably to the surface directly behind the seed coulters. Optional press wheels and levelling tines can be fitted to uniformly cover the seed material and enable optimum seed growth.
Our mechanical seed drills are available as VITASEM linkage-mounted machines or VITASEM M implement-mounted machines. Both are also available as lighter CLASSIC versions, which are our lightweights in the mechanical seed drill range.
VITASEM linkage-mounted seed drills deliver impressive results when used solo, and in combination with our FOX compact combinations or LION power harrows. The large ground wheels drive the metering shaft and reduce the pressure the machine exerts on the soil. Two different types of coulter are available to adapt perfectly to the farm's application requirements. Suffolk coulters, which work reliably where there is less organic matter and keep the weight of the machine low thanks to their simple design, and single-disc coulters, which deliver a reliable working result even with higher volumes of organic matter. The robust system is designed for maximum durability.
With our VITASEM M implement-mounted seed drills, the focus is clearly on reliability and ease of use. When combined with our FOX compact combinations or LION power harrows, the centre of gravity is located extremely far forward and provides optimum consolidation as a result, with the weight of the seed drill supported directly by the rear roller. That is how the seedbed preparation machine retains its freedom of movement and can ride over stones. While the metering drive is driven by a land wheel as standard, the machine is also available with ISOBUS and electric metering shaft drive as an option.
